What are Soft Services in facilities management?
Soft services is the term given for services which generally don't include the management, inspecting or testing of technical assets or equipment. However, soft services normally include the services that facilitate the day to day function and cleanliness of a site and normally include some aspect of staffing.
Soft services may include, but is not limited to;
- Internal cleaning of a site or external cleaning and upkeep
- Grounds maintenance, landscaping or caretaking
- Security services or concierge
